RETURNS
Many retailers have an 'all sales are final' approach to customer returns. At HomePreparations.com, we offer you the option of returning items that do not meet your needs. Here is our return policy:

All correspondence regarding returns must be in writing. We do not accept phone or voice-mail requests to initiate returns.

Please do not request us to phone you as our policy is to put all answers in writing. We will gladly answer any questions or concerns via e-mail or letter, whichever you prefer.

You have up to 15 days after the HomePreparations ship date to initiate your return. Your items must reach us within 30 days from the ship date. Items received after 30 days will not be accepted for return or credit. HomePreparations reserves the right to liquidate and withhold credit for inventory that is sent to us outside of our return policies.

We do not accept returns of damaged items - however, replacement of the merchandise or cancellation of your order is possible. Please refer to our shipping policies for instructions on how to handle orders that arrive damaged.
- All returns must include a Return Merchant Authorization (RMA). To obtain your RMA, please email us at returns@HomePreparations.com. Your email should include the invoice number for each item to be returned, as well as the reason for the return. If your request meets our policy guidelines, as outlined here, we will email you the RMA number and the return instructions.
- When we receive your items, we will refund your order amount less restocking fees and the original shipping charges. At HomePreparations.com, we charge a 20% restocking fee for each returned item.

To qualify for a refund, ALL items must be returned in their original condition, including the original packaging and containers, documentation, warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories (if applicable). Do not mark or deface the original manufacturer containers in any manner. We will not accept returns or give credit if the merchandise or packaging is not in its original condition. HomePreparations reserves the right to liquidate such inventory and withhold credit. All costs related to return shipping must be paid by the customer. HomePreparations also reserves the right to liquidate and withhold credit for inventory that is sent to us without an authorized RMA number or that is returned outside of our return policies.

If you refuse delivery or fail to pick up your merchandise from the carrier after they have attempted delivery, HomePreparations reserves the right to liquidate the inventory and withhold credit. If you elect to have the merchandise re-shipped to you, the return costs and the new shipping costs must be paid before any merchandise can be shipped. If you notify us (in writing) within 15 days of the ship date that you refused delivery because you wanted to return the merchandise/cancel the order/did not want the merchandise anymore, the return costs will be deducted from any credit owed to you, along with the original shipping costs and our restocking fee.
- Due to shipping considerations, we are not able to accept returns on items shipped to APO/FPO addresses. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- You may return any product you buy, except toilet brushes, lotion bottles, soap dishes, toothbrush holders, cotton jars, bathroom tumblers, and any other bathroom accessories. Due to supplier issues, on occasion we may also prevent returns on other selected products. Any such restricitions will always be noted on the detail page for the product.
- PayPal users: We cannot reimburse your PayPal account. When we receive your items, HomePreparations will refund the amount of your order, less restocking fees and the original shipping charges. The refund will then be applied to your HomePreparations account as an in-store credit. You can use that credit for up to 1 year for any item in our store.

Our warehouse and accounting staff work hard to process returns as quickly as possible. Processing returns can be complicated. Please allow 10 to 14 days after we receive the items to process your credit.
EXCHANGES
At this time we do not do exchanges. You may return your merchandise, per our policies above, or you may cancel your merchandise (see below).
CANCELLATIONS
- Once payment is made, any order may be cancelled prior to shipping. Once the order is shipped, then our Return Policies go into effect.

If an order is cancelled, the payment will be refunded less a 10% transaction fee.
- PayPal users: We are unable to reimburse your PayPal account. When we receive your cancellation, HomePreparations will refund the amount of your order, less the 10% transaction fee. The refund will then be applied to your HomePreparations account as an in-store credit. You can use that credit for up to 1 year for any item in our store. Please keep this in mind if you choose to use PayPal to place your order.

ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING. We do not accept phone calls or voice-mails to initiate a cancellation.

If we must cancel all or part of your order (or issue credit for any reason), a full credit plus associated shipping costs will be issued for the part of the order that was cancelled.

All credits are issued as either a store credit or a refund. Refunds are issued in the same manner as the initial payment. This means that refunds for check payments will be in the form of a check and refunds for direct credit card payments will be issued to the credit card account that was used to make the purchase. PayPal users only: your credit will be issued as a store credit ONLY since we are unable to issue refunds to PayPal accounts.
